5/9 Future Updates Survey

Hi! So, I haven't been very active with Flan Clicker because I've been busy working on The Magical Girl in PROXY.

But I noticed it's been getting a bunch of views and downloads, so I figured I should post a devlog!

I've decided that characters in future updates will be pixel art - they'll have the same proportions that Takako has right now, but instead of using Clip Studio Paint, I'll use Pyxel Edit. With CSP, there was always some difficulty of lining up the different outfits due to transparent pixels. Layering certain things just didn't look right, and this led to code where I had to change the order of the layers based on what gloves or shirt/dress is equipped.

Pixel art will make this easier, because everything will be able to line up squarely. I won't have to divide things like sleeves and hands!

Of course, I won't immediately replace Takako's sprites. I want to get maybe four more characters into the game before I redo her sprites, because I want some new content.

I've made a quick Google Form to figure out how I should approach future updates. By this, I mean which characters you want me to work on next, and if I should focus on all the outfits for one character, or focus on a couple outfits for multiple characters at a time.
